We are thrilled to announce the launch of Inception Intelligence, a groundbreaking AI platform developed by Inception Health to serve Froedtert ThedaCare and the Medical College of Wisconsin. This milestone represents our commitment to responsibly advancing healthcare through innovative technology.

Inception Intelligence will initially be launched for a small cohort of employees at Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Following this initial phase, we plan to expand access and make the platform generally available across our entire healthcare system in the coming weeks.

Launching with Powerful AI Capabilities

Inception Intelligence is launching with an intuitive Q&A chat interface offering two distinct models:

General Knowledge Model

Leveraging Anthropic's latest Claude 3.7 Sonnet, currently the most performant large language model (LLM) available, to provide comprehensive responses to a wide range of queries.

Froedtert Health-Specific Model

A specialized model using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology to support searches for guidelines and clinical best practices specifically tailored to Froedtert Health.

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) represents a significant advancement in making AI more reliable and accurate, especially in specialized domains like healthcare. Rather than relying solely on the knowledge embedded in the LLM during training, RAG enhances responses by first retrieving relevant information from trusted, up-to-date sources. When a question is asked, the system searches through our curated knowledge base of Froedtert Health guidelines and clinical resources. The retrieved information is then provided to the LLM, which generates a response based on this specific, authoritative content.

This approach significantly reduces "hallucinations" (fabricated or incorrect information) by grounding responses in verified documentation.
